BeachLife Festival announces an eclectic lineup of renowned musical artists

An eclectic, beach-focused lineup of over 55 top musical artists across the spectrum of rock, indie, jam, reggae and more has been announced for the 3rd edition of Beach life festival, Los Angeles County’s only three-day immersive coastal experience uniquely celebrating beach culture. Headliners Weezer (Friday), The Smashing Pumpkins (Saturday) and Steve Miller Band (Sunday) will be joined by a wide array of talent rarely booked together for the same event, including 311, Sheryl Crow, Vance Joy, Black Pumas , Lord Huron , Stone Temple Pilots, UB40 feat. Ali Campbell, Cold War Kids and more, performing on four stages.

All BeachLife Festival tickets are on sale now at www.BeachLifeFestival.com.

The boutique and family destination event started in 2019 and focuses on philanthropy, as well as green and sustainable initiatives. Based on the success of the sold-out 2019 and 2021 events, Forbes dubbed BeachLife “the little festival that could.”

BeachLife was co-founded by locals Allen Sanford and Rob Lissner, with support from SpeakEasy Stage partner and curator Jim Lindberg (Pennywise/solo artist/writer) as an alternative offering to the typical festival, with high-level attention to food and beverage, curation and retail.

“Especially in these dynamic and uncertain times, the BeachLife Festival has become something the beach community can look forward to, breathe in and smile about. Watching the world’s greatest bands with the Pacific ocean breeze and sunset in the back is something we never tire of, and we can’t wait to share that experience again with a sold-out but spaced-out audience,” said BeachLife Co-Founder/Producer Allen Sanford.

SpeakEasy Stage Commissioner Jim Lindberg said, “Jack Daniel’s SpeakEasy Stage has been such a success that of course we have to bring it back this year. This time around we have our good friend legendary Art Alexakis from Everclear, prolific punk rock singer/songwriter Joey Cape from Lagwagon, Yotam Ben Horin from Useless ID, Dan Kelly from Fortunate Youth and Moi Juarez from Tomorrows Bad Seeds, among many others. Just like last year, Jack Daniel’s SpeakEasy will be the place to be all weekend – just keep it in the family!

The current BeachLife Festival music lineup is as follows (subject to change):

Friday May 13: Weezer, 311, Black Pumas, Cold War Kids, Milky Chance, Cannons, Atlas Genius, Jim Lindberg (Pennywise), Long Beach Dub Allstars, The Aggrolites, Hoist the Colours, Tomorrows Bad Seeds (acoustic), Joey Cape (Lagwagon) , Velvet Starlings, Yotam Ben Horin (ID useless)

Saturday May 14: The Smashing Pumpkins, Vance Joy, Stone Temple Pilots, Capital Cities, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Matisyahu, Sugar Ray, The Record Company, Donavon Frankenreiter, Magic!, Phantom Planet, Art Alexakis (Everclear), Rita Wilson, Jeremy Buck, Charities, feed the cat

Sunday May 15: Steve Miller Band, Sheryl Crow, Lord Huron, UB40 feat. Ali Campbell, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, The Allman Betts Band, Ozomatli, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, ALO, Landon McNamara, Dan Kelly (Fortunate Youth), The Hip Abduction, Cubensis, Wall of Sound, Latch Key Kid

BeachLife will feature musical performances on four stages: the HighTide (main) Stage, the LowTide Stage, the RipTide Stage and the SpeakEasy Stage. While the first three stages are standard festival-produced waterfront stages, the fourth stage, The SpeakEasy Stage, presented by Jack Daniel’s, is hosted by Pennywise singer/solo artist/songwriter Jim Lindberg and offers intimate, stripped-back acoustic performances from some of the big names in punk, surf and rock.

Philanthropy and community are always important to BeachLife Festival. They support many organizations in the South Bay community of Southern California and beyond, especially when it comes to beach and ocean preservation. With the help of the LA Kings and a number of state and local non-profit organizations, BeachLife will be hosting on-site events and activations to raise awareness and much-needed funds for these important causes. Philanthropic partners include Surfrider, Heal The Bay, Walk With Sally, Life Rolls On, Wyland Foundation, Redondo Beach Education Foundation, Redondo Beach Police Foundation and the Rob Machado Foundation.

As the music takes center stage at the BeachLife Festival, The Daou SideStage Experience offers foodies the chance to sit on stage (literally) and be served a four-course meal by celebrity chefs while their musicians favorites occur. Hailed as the “Best Restaurant in the South Bay” by the Orange County Register, The Daou SideStage Experience is the first culinary opportunity of its kind, located on the main stage and served by a team of award-winning chefs who curate their menus alongside the artists organizing their setlists. This is truly a “one of a kind” dining experience. Southern California’s star chefs will be announced in March.

In addition to this 5-star dining experience, BeachLife will offer a variety of food and beverage options, including a massive craft beer bar featuring local LA brews, and multiple bars, lounges, food vendors, and food trucks across the site, accessible to all festival-goers.
