Bitter Sweet

Although my chest CT results were “stable” & the fluid is practically gone, I can’t help feeling down about my cousin Tony’s latest MRI results.  There is tumor activity in his brain again… he is schelduled for his second surgery early next week, please keep him in your thoughts or prayers.  I love you cuz!

Last week was a little tough, I had chemo on Monday & a 2 hour bone treatment on Tuesday… double whammys are never good.  Tuesday marked 3 years since we lost our Andrea, she took a piece of my heart with her, I miss her still … until we meet again my sweet friend, I love you always!

Lynn thank you for coming to see me at the treatment center on Tuesday, you have a magical way to make me feel wonderful & I love you for that.  Sorry about today, I was really looking forward to our breakfast but I was too darn dizzy to drive… raincheck ok?

Random thought:  I can take “me” being ill but not those I love :(

Children Amaze me

On saturday we did another BC fundraiser at Chapters, I aways meet incredible people but this one young girl took a piece of my heart.  She was maybe 10 or 11 years old, when they found out I was a survivor (they couldn’t tell with my wig) her mom told me that every year her daughter bakes clay ribbons, sells them to her family & donates it to breast cancer research.  I looked silly crying at my booth but it touched me, this is a pretty incredible world :)

The results:  Doc didn’t have chest results yet but the abdominal area was “stable”

Random thought:  I love my Monday hugs from Lucie :)

I’m back

Hey everyone, I’m doing well but a little nervous waiting for my CT scan results, I get those on Monday *fingers crossed*   As you all may have noticed someone took pleasure to mess with my blog again, I’m not angry but always disapointed to loose all your wonderful comments.  Puerto Rico was wonderful & so very memorable.  October is BC month and a busy one for me, as Sue already mentionned, we planted tulips at Avon Canada, City Hall, the Hospital & Paliative care.  Gisele, my friend & Guidance Counsellor at Mind High School invited me to speak to her teenagers about the importance of cancer prevention, they were amazing … thanks Gisele & Colleen for supporting me.  I’ll be posting pictures of all the above mentionned events very soon. Thank you Sue for always picking up the pieces, you are the best!

Random Thought:  It was great to see Bea again!
